Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has spotlighted the 7-kilometre Tungan Madaki-Zuba road corridor in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a strategic infrastructure project poised to drive regional economic development.

The road project, located in the outskirts of Abuja, is expected to unlock new investment opportunities in the area, according to the president. "Tungan Madaki, Zuba, and the communities along the road corridor are home to some of Nigeria's hardest-working citizens," Tinubu said, as reported by Peoples Gazette.

Business Day noted that the construction of the 7-kilometre road is set to open a new investment corridor in the FCT. The improvement in connectivity is anticipated to spur commercial and residential development in the surrounding communities.

Tinubu’s remarks, delivered during a public address, underscore the administration’s focus on infrastructure as a driver of inclusive growth. He emphasized that enhanced road networks are vital to improving livelihoods and attracting private sector participation in underserved areas.

The Tungan Madaki-Zuba road project is part of broader efforts to expand urban infrastructure in Abuja’s expanding northern districts. Officials say the corridor will ease transportation challenges and integrate peripheral communities more fully into the capital’s economic fabric.
